Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

One Talk and Bluejeans are horrible products

A lot of my MSA peers are looking to go or already went to BJN. BJN sucks and caters to a niche market now. Zoom, Teams, and Google Meet will always rule no matter how BJN reps push the product. Heck, most of the poor folks that have BJN licenses on their account have no idea they have it.. change my mind. They’re pushing healthcare companies which is understandable but it’s still a long shot. The name itself doesn’t make sense.. how you market and your brand is what makes you stand out.

One Talk…. Oh gosh…. Why did someone had to create a horrific product, and we’re force to sell this cr-p. Just problems after problems, I seriously feel bad every time a OT gets activated, let alone gets ported into OT!!, knowing it’ll churn but I need to hit my numbers.

Verizon sucks, it’s really depreciated over time. It’s a commodity, and all carriers are the same. So now it’s just a pricing exercise, whoever is the cheapest wins. That just becomes a domino effect and affects employees.

Just my two cents.. and my rambling my thoughts..

@1nsw+1hkgT30n Speaking of the infamous HUM device....I recently was at a tag sale in Northern California and they were selling a brand new HUM never used. I asked the lady where she got it she said Verizon just gave it to her several years ago and said her bill would go down. She didn’t even know what the device was for.

When the entire company was built on false churn for a decade. Slamming jet packs, then tablets, then HUMs, etc. We reported those #s publicly. Now we need new items to sell I mean slam. One Talk, literally 25pct more expensive than the next competitor on avg. It also has a mass annual outage. BJN barely works internally. It worked better when we were taking over the company. HUM or VZ Connect should be a product at this point not a departure or a company. It is also over priced. Decades worth of slamming we have to account for.

@1mqh+1hkgT30n The number is actually closer to 100k. Based on feedback from line disconnects most of the business customers had no idea what OT was and why they had all these random numbers on their accounts.

I talked to a Verizon insider who has zero connection to any of the Verizon business groups. He said there are literally over 80,000 OT lines that are inactive on business accounts. All of them were added in the last 18 months. WTF is wrong with this company ?

One Talk does suck and a nightmare. The Product Managers on OT are clueless. So true about Bluejeans, I bundle Bluejeans into my deals whether they use it or not because I have to sell it.

Need to start planning my exit strategy.
