I’ve been a good RTO drone. Whatever stupid rules they come up with, I cheerfully comply with. I will not quit. How long until they’re fed up and lay me off? I think it’s only reasonable to be paid to leave. I haven’t been working my a-s off for years just to be attritioned and have nothing to show for it.

It's true that "things could be worse", but that's no excuse for the failures of HY executives. These clowns are completely incompetent and have no business running anything. A team of monkeys throwing darts at a target with policies on it would do a better job, and for $100M/year less than our current "leadership". They are complete frauds and will destroy this company.
@1mny just because you're willing to be a suffering corporate slave to this entity does not mean everyone else should be. That's called socialism, and you should join a union if that's what you want.
I have been travelling 130 miles each way to work and back for 10+ years. I was grateful for the time i got to be home during COVID. Before that it was 5 days a week.
If your complaining about RTO just know it could be alot worse in life. Be grateful and blessed during this holiday season. I am grateful to God for everything.
Life is like a box of chocolates.
Charlie will cut you regardless of any factors. US workers are not valued, only shareholders matter.
Don't matter if you worked your a$$ off this is a game of shareholder value and boosting profits in a bank that is not innovative and under asset cap. A slow sinking ship getting plundered by Charlie and his crew and then they jump to the next ship.
Hang in there until your number is up. I got mine in October and life has never been better. Toxicity and stress is gone. Goodbye and good riddance!
It's a matter of time. They are outsourcing, automating, and contracting as fast as the displacement team can go. In the end, unless you're in sales or in I&P, we all go.
boohoo
A person on my team is in Maine (remote obviously) and still here, while they displace people in hubs who are literally the true SMEs on stuff. Madness.
Plenty of people have been let go that have been coming in as demanded and in hub. Don't think only non hub or remote people are laid off.
3 of my RTO coworkers were let go back in June.
I'm the remotest possible employee, and I'm still here.
Drones are good workers yet are disposable. The queen is what the hive is based around. And there isn’t a bigger queen than smirking CS.
