In the Desert territory, the Director of retail basically said, "you are being watched and you are required to volunteer because if you don't your employees won't". So, VZW program of "volunteering" has now been turned into a communist tracking program to force social obedience in your free time. We have so many things to do in this mixed up world right now! I volunteer! But to be told I have to isn't right! Great way to turn a helpful program into garbage! Are you going to review and coach me on my volunteering or just hold it above my head during my review and forced leave? Oh yeah, don't forget to use your forced volunteer time to post on social media #VZcares that way Verizon can look like they are doing the right thing!! Shame on you Monica.

I signed up for volunteering and then just didn't show up or do anything and I still got credited. Try it.
What your leader did was wrong but I personally like the different volunteer options in the portal. It’s great activities to do with my family. My son loves watching the animals on zooniverse

Hey Desert Territory stop posting on IG and hosting IG live because you want to show upper management that you are “engaging” the front line... most people don’t care your a middle manager and you can be replaced in the drop of a dime.... btw I heard how you don’t care to cook for your kids and tell them to go to the fridge if they’re hungry?? Shame on you get your priorities straight. Spend time with your family no one cares about your IG live time we don’t get paid enough to watch that garbage

Forced to volunteer? Yeah, it called voluntold. I think Verlieson invented it.
Control? They control everything. They want Public Relations to say they are a great company to work for. They have been hammered for the last several years on how they look to their employees. Too many people in upper management, they do nothing that provides any real value to daily operations. They are constantly making quota structure/goals more and more difficult to multiply on. So you have management and upper middle management and higher level management basically living in their little boxes on the hilltops, numb to what actually brings real success.

What we do in our free time is none of Verizon's business! Keep your nose out of my free time! Am I allowed to go to church? Am I allowed to have a family or take a vacation?? Stop the Kool-aid preaching. Sounds like he has too much WFH time on his hands.
