Anyone who got laid off within a year of joining CVS? Or a period less than that. Was there an explanation provided.

I had a page with my age, race, and gender, along with the same info for the other person laid off in my department. Those weren't listed as reasons for our layoffs, though. I think they were just identifiers.
I know someone that was laid off in 2023, rehired in a different group, and then laid off again in 2024. I have no idea the reason, if any was given but I’m speculating it’s because they’re trying to cut down on levels of management from Director up through VPs and consolidate more teams/reports under less people leaders.
@1nkt+1uV0U7BF Stop trolling. Some people will believe this BS. We have enough to deal with without you stirring up fake rage.
In your layoff severance packet, it should specify the reason or the criteria used to select your position for layoff. In my case, there was a separate paper towards the end of the packet indicating that out of seven people performing similar duties in the department, I was the only one who was Asian and over 45. The others were unaffected. In other words, it indirectly stated that my position was eliminated because I was Asian and over 45.
8 months - lead director

That's so cruel. Which team was it?
They have hired people to join a team they eliminated entirely mere weeks later. The people running this company are either completely incompetent, absolutely evil, or most likely both.
I was let go one year after being hired. The reason given was that out of six analysts with the same job duties, I was the only one over 45 and Asian. As a result, I was selected for layoff while the other five remained.
Not me, but I know a few that were. And a few that have been with CVS for nearly as long as I’ve been alive. The explanation is the same for everyone regardless of tenure: a pre-approved by legal and super generic message indicating that due to evolving business needs the difficult decision was made to eliminate your position. Paraphrased, of course.
To avoid potential lawsuits they’re not gonna provide any additional detail above that.
