Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

How long will it take to get fired?

I heard someone say today that they are NOT gonna commute to new downtown mke location but will stay working from home. How long do you think it will take for them to get fired and will they be able to get unemployment? (asking for a friend)

Corporate guidelines, no matter what you’ve been told, are 80% in office (4/5 days) and an average of 9 hours per day.

Guarantee some wonderful coworker will report you. We are stacked like rats in these mazes, people turn on each other in this horrid atmosphere.

A new coworker told me that they didn’t come into the office for a week. Manager was apparently informed and then told him to let him know next time. So, I guess it depends on how thorough HR is there. Be careful!

They WILL be checking badge scans in and out but still could take them awhile to fire you. Supposedly, they want you there 60% of the time or 6 hrs x 4 days.

So the reality of the question is would fiserv notice OP is doing teams from home and would warn then terminate. Or would OP be laid off in the fiserv normal course of business.

Tough call.

I’d have to estimate they wouldn’t notice for several months. You may be able to skate clear until layoffs catch up.

lol. Good luck with that. Especially considering how many of us were hired fully remote.

Claim you have anxiety that prohibits you from being in office. They can't fire you for a disability.

No unemployment because you severely violated agreement (your employer for sure specified your work location, but in covid pandemic it was not enforced...) and they could fire you at the spot or give you warning with time period and if it is repeated then you could be fired right away.

The seating is setup like a high school lunch room and just as much privacy. The building is going to be ridiculously loud and over crowded with not enough restrooms just like the sh*t show BH building. Can't wait to get mugged coming or going from our cars in the unsecured parking structure.

Honestly, it might take a while. There’s so much BS and confusion at Frankserv.

Just say no to MKE!
No cubies just tables with plastic dividers Everyone seated at a table/row next to each other
Traffic at 7 and 5 is ki-ler.
Someone making sure seats are filled.
Traffic, crime, hostile work environment, parking, travel times, flu......

No comes easy ..
