That is incredibly on brand for Fiserv.
If I remember correctly, it was purchased because it had a specific function (don’t remember what) that Fiserv wanted to use, but didn’t want to bother developing other own version of it. Once the development teams actually got to look at it AFTER the purchase had been completed, they realized there was no way to integrate it into the current systems. Being vague because I never knew the exact details, just what I had heard.
