Thread regarding BP PLC layoffs

BL LOOKING FOR EMPLOYMENT!!!!)

It is always sad when someone is trying to find gainful employment, but in BL's case, I can't shed a tear.
The text below is from the City Editor of Sky News.
'Looney tunes out of BP but is Abu Dhabi his destination?
What news of Bernard Looney, the erstwhile chief executive of BP, who was defenestrated after misleading its board over his relationships with colleagues?

At 54, and having had close to £30m clawed back or cancelled from various pay schemes as a consequence of his misconduct, retirement is an unlikely option. Nor, however, is another role at the helm of a publicly traded oil major a probable path – one former director of BP argues it would now be impossible for listed boards to take a gamble on him given the circumstances of his departure. A much likelier route for Looney is a role at the helm of a private equity-backed energy venture (there are plenty of them) or at one of the world’s myriad state-owned oil companies.
Indeed, I hear that Looney has held talks with ADNOC, the Abu Dhabi national oil corporation, about a senior advisor role. A friend of the former BP chief acknowledges that he has spoken to ADNOC, along with “hundreds of people” about potential opportunities.
He insists, however, that no job is likely to arise from the discussions. Let’s see, then, where Looney emerges next.'

@1kog+1rZuGsyb yes, indeed, it is interesting. Also, a bit of a coincidence that Sky News business reporter should write about Looney’s talks with them on the same day as a potential takeover is being discussed. Presumably, that is why his 'friend' is stating it is unlikely to result in a job. Also, may we assume that the 'friend' who spoke to the journalist is Looney himself.
I imagine BL would be schmoozing his way round the Ambani pre-wedding because the owner of Reliance Oil, Mukesh Ambani, is Asia's richest man.

Reuters, Telegraph and others reported that ADNOC recently considered a bid for bp or purchasing a major share. Interesting that Looney Tunes was in talks with ADNOC during this time to take over his former company.

If BL does ultimately end up at one of these private equity-backed energy ventures, will the company have to lock up their female employees? I imagine any organisation would have to warn him beforehand about his conduct.

At the beginning of March, BL, MA and Bob Dudley all attended the three day pre-wedding celebrations of India's Ambani family. Bill Gates, Ivanka Trump and Zuckerberg were all in attendance, but from the photos, they looked like they were being kept away from the 'less important' guests. All three were probably avoiding BL in case he was after them for a job. It would be a bit embarrassing if another guest asked BL what he does for a living. LOL.
