Call center in Grayson, Kentucky is closing March 2026.
Any info on El Segundo? Once the rest of DTV is offloaded this summer, what is in store for the lease/building there?
AT&T closed an office located at 2000 Town Center BLVD, Orange Park FL in November 2024 with a headcount of 145 and just announced today 03/14/25 they are closing 1876 Data Dr Hoover AL with a headcount of 70. All the old knowledge is leaving and customer service will suffer.
Agreed, you’re seeing what I’m seeing. I report to Middletown NJ and what I see is employees they want to keep. You’ve got TDP (college STEM hires) with a brand new renovated area on the 5th floor with photos of Stankey and McElfresh Nd all the other “leaders” visiting. Next door you have the brand new CSO with tons of their leadership in private offices. Lots of these CSO employees support government agencies when you look them up in webphone which of course I do when I’m looking up all their names.
Then you have the demographics. It’s about 90% Indian 8% Chinese and 2% other.
Most of them look fresh off the plane so I have to assume they’re H1B employees.
In addition, it’s well known that the company has owned this entire campus outright since the bell labs days. With 4 huge office buildings now vacated and ready for lease, this site is clearly a money maker and it’s going anywhere anytime soon.
There’s construction going on in all the places that have not been remodeled yet and the rest has already been invested in and ready to go.
My prediction? Bedminster lease is up in 2027, that office will close, and what’s left will report to Middletown.
Middletown is 100% not going anywhere.
“Anything outside of TX, GA, NJ, and WA will be closed very soon.
I was in NJ recently and massive construction going on in MT as moving the gym, re-doing the auditorium, building new labs and new office spaces etc. Why sink millions into the one building left in MT NJ if closing very soon?”

San Ramon is closing this year.
The sale to Sunset Properties and MetLife was finalized January 2014 and part of that deal was a leaseback to AT&T. Since that deal AT&T has lessened their leased space and will exit the administrative floor space, the CO in the basement will require additional time and may stay in place for the foreseeable future due to obvious reasons.
Not San Ramon. I thought it’s a hub.
San Ramon rumors coming up in 3…2…1…

"Who do you sell a CO to?"
More than likely, the real estate is more valuable than the building itself.
Its to raise cash from asset sell and lease back just like the cell sites, data centers, etc of the past. Stank following the ways of his predecessors. The business itself remains with ATT.
Who do you sell a CO to?
Numerous COs being sold to raise cash. Outlying locations where (NMVs) and the 33 non hub locations are being reviewed now for closure. This is why no reason to invest or repair the issues we all complain about. This is a stop gap until consolidated as well as do digest the resource impact. I dont agree with it but this is the way.
There will definitely be layoffs. Where, what departments, and how many affected is TBD. Preparation is the best advice.
Remember the sad stories from Microsoft, fb, twitter, etc? Some very involved people who wouldn’t think it would/could happen to them. It’s just business. Protect yourself and people in your life. AT&T will not.
It depends on how many employees are left relative to the company's head count target.
Hopefully Dallas 😒
