Compliance to RTO after CSBB announcement

CSBB location strategy was announced last week. Remote workers without medical accommodations should start to
Return to office. Didn’t see any time frame on when this should be executed by. My manager advised to just hang tight until I get a notification. Would you consider moving to the go forward location now and have your “remote” designation changed?

Praying for all of us here at WF.

No, share holders should be upset with the executives wasting billions on buildings and eliminating a large pool of less expensive talent that we could tap, for no reason whatsoever. You want the most efficiency and to steal talent from peers without having to pay excessively to do it? WFH isn't just the way, it's the only way. The dinosaur leadership we have has failed on this front and many others and it is doing severe long term damage to this company.

What is this stay and resist nonsense?

You either comply and remain eligible to keep your job. Or you don't comply and you get fired for non-compliance (no severance). Or you "resist" which I assume means you show up for your 4 hours and mail in your job performance. I guess that's a strategy. But it's theft and immoral. And if you have a halfway decent leadership group they'll throw you into a PIP and get you canned without severance.

Ticks me off to see good people getting displaced while others are literal wastes of space ripping off the company and hurting their co-workers. Every single employee that has a single share of stock should be upset at this mentality.

There's more than one way to resist. Gaming their stupid system isn't hard, but even beyond RTO nonsense there's many ways.

What you may be missing is that if you don't RTO you may be let go for performance which means no severance

What both you and Charlie fail to understand is that there's a 3rd option between stay and go, and that's stay and resist. FRTO, FHY, and F Shart. Their dinosaur methods are stupid and waste an incredible amount of time and money. They will fail, it's just a matter of time. While we wait, if that POS in NYC wants me gone, he's going to have to pay. I'm not handing him the voluntary resignation that he wants from every domestic employee. Dude is a clown and doesn't deserve it.

Here we go again! More RTO B S!

Y'all sound like broken records!

Wailing like a bunch of babies in a maternity ward about a company policy.

Now the praying starts.

No one is forcing anyone to work for an employer with RTO requirements!

Go work for a different employer that allows everyone to WFH!!!!!

Problem solved! Y'all are welcome!

My team in Tech is loving it..SVP gave us permission to WFH 100% just b4 he took on CSBB role (none if us are actual tech experts, we.just support their projects; all of us live very close to hub; no medical accommodations).

Now SVB is CEO of CSBB and is enforcing RTO, but it doesn't affect us.

Life is good! We just asked for 100% remote from him and got it.

I'm surprised SVB took this long to implement this over in CSBB.

Ain't gonna be no relo except very very rare situations. The purpose of these projects is not to consolidate locations, it's to get rid of people. Once you understand that everything they are doing, and what they will do next, all makes sense. Wait until the hubs start shutting down. Then the real fun begins.

I know I'll be termed at some point. It is what it is, but that evil little worthless POS in NYC is going to have to pay me a year of severance if he wants me gone. F Shart.

the RTO is for people who are remote without accommodation but already within 40 miles of a go-forward location. it has nothing to do with "moving to the go forward location".
If you are within 40 miles of a go-forward location, you will be notified when you must return to the office.
if you are remote with or without accommodation but NOT within 40 miles of a go-forward location, you will be either offered relo or displaced sometime in the next 2 years. Whether you are offered relo or not is a LOB decision based on business need.

I wouldn’t move anywhere for this circus. I’ve heard of several people that moved to a hub and they were still displaced. It’s all about funding Shart and his boys.
