Huh, market is down today, yet WFC is up…

Apparently someone on Wall Street got their widdle feelings hurt by the truth because there was a downvote.

Enough said.
Yesterday most of the major banks were up 1-3%, but WFC was up nearly 7%!!!! This just shows how much confidence the market has in Charlie!
7% gain a 24 hour period doesn't do much to offset 2 years of nothing.
Freaking out = the entire "pal" post, for one. Not sure who you were talking to, but there weren't really any positive comments about WF but that didn't stop you from railing against a company that you willingly accept $ from and work for.
In any event, relax, you'll live longer. Meanwhile, stock is up over 7% today. In breaking news, the market doesn't always behave exactly as you'd expect, or on the schedule you believe that it should. Shocking, I know.

I’m pretty sure you just responded to and are arguing with yourself 😂.
Never thought I'd see the day when people would try to argue that 2 years of flat-to-negative stock price for a top 5 bank would be a sign of success.

You are right - I shouldn’t “attributes” anything to anyone.
FYI - it’s not news if a stock is doing what it’s supposed to do. So no -I do not comment on those days. (Although it WOULD be news if Wells Fargo did what they are supposed to do in the eyes of the regulators.)
And since you think you do not make up things in your own mind, please point out where I said I was “freaking out”.
You make up a lot of things in your own mind and then attributes them to others. I didn't defend anything or anyone. Short version: it's d-mb to focus on any one day, and it's hypocritical to freak out when the market is up / stock is down but go silent when the opposite happens, like today.
I take it the day traders are ignoring the stock price and the indexes right now? That's what I thought. Some people on this forum are a joke, and a hypocritical joke at that.

Pal - I never post positive comments about a company who’s name is synonymous with fraud, scandal and customer abuse. Nor do I defend a company who’s executives get rich by eliminating jobs like yours, or sending jobs like yours to third-world countries. But you go ahead and defend them, right up until they show you the door. But you go ahead!
@1uml+1djltSid. I am not a day trader. Read the post I replied to and read my post again. Don’t be stupid!
It's up over 5% today and the markets are up as well - crazy stuff indeed /s

I do not consider the term “day-trader” to be a compliment. And “investors” in Wells Fargo have been burned. So which are you?
@1lmn+1djltSid. You are not a day trade all right. I doubt it if you are an investor in any stock.
lol, ok pal. Let's go ahead and let my boss decide whether or not I should be in the industry or not. You keep jumping out of windows based on single day market activity. Care to direct us to the days where you posted up with wild eyed elation when the opposite occured? (Market down, but WF up). Yeah, I'm guessing those threads don't exist. One way or another, you don't get both.

Oh yah - you’re the guy who bought at the low. Right.
Compare WFC’s performance since 2016 vs the other top banks. Compare WFC’s performance since Charlie started vs the other top banks. And then name any other top bank who dramatically cut its dividend in the past two years.
The only people getting wealthy at Wells Fargo are our top executives. Who’s not getting wealthy? Our employees, our customers whom WFC likes to squeeze every last dime out of, and our shareholders.
The stock is up 52.56% YTD despite being well off it's ~$62 max. I doubt a day here or there matters much. I, like lots of others, bought in at the mid $20's so it's all good..

No one said the sky is falling. For some reason, you are opposed to factual statements and feel the need to downplay what should have been a strong day for WFC stock. Nothing hilarious about that.
Last night I dreamt the stock dropped to 15, and a bunch of us were sitting watching it live on tv keep dropping further
@1iej+1djltSid & @1lmn+1djltSid
Keep talking. You are hilarious. One buck down and the sky is falling. LOL

Market up. Bank index up. WFC down. You can’t dispute the facts.
“The drop off was priced in” is incorrect use of the phrase. In a different situation, you could say the stock did not move up because the news was priced in. But here, the stock is down due to expenses being higher than anticipated and loans falling. If someone who corrects you when you’re wrong is a condescending as----e, then guilty as charged.
Post ID: @1lmn+1djltSid
We beat expectations and the drop off was already priced in. Because the banks did well, the overall market went up. Maybe you’re the one who has no business working for a financial institution you condescending a-ho-e.
I’m not a day trader. Every employee has been burned by the performance of our executive team and the stock. Additionally, the stock’s performance after the earnings release is significant - especially on such a strong day in the market. Anyone who doesn’t understand that should not be in the finance industry.
Unless you're a day trader, what happens in any one day is pretty much irrelevant. There are down days for the Dow, where WFC goes up. Doesn't mean much.
Stock is a POS.
The market has no confidence in Scharf, what a surprise.
So what?
