Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

Anyone else have 5% of their bonus taken?

It’s funny how the migration from “VALUES” to “Grade” has resulted in lower bonuses for the people doing the work, and higher bonuses for certain levels of senior leadership.

This whale is bleeding hard. Get out while you can.

Dear math-challenged peeps:

Your manager will (should; is expected to) provide you with a breakdown of your salary and your bonus. This way you don't need to do mathletics and cause yourself an aneurysm.

Mine did already.

Just did the math on workday. 3.5%. Feels real good to make less than last year with more to do.

Cost of labor. What a joke. Cost of labor is up!

Well, I guess you could just leave. At least your PTO payout will be worth 5% more now...

Do we know that the 5% raise is a company policy and not just front line managers trying to make a salad out of 💩?

not funny math - real math
Looks like if the bonus is 100% or lower is a good deal but if over 100% like this year...you get paid less.

Base Pay: $100,000
Bonus 15%
Bonus Payout 100% TC: $115,000
Bonus payout 118% - TC $ 117,700

Base Pay (+5%) $105,000
Bonus: 10%
Bonus Payout 100% TC: $115,500
Bonus payout 118% - TC $ 117,390

Those who had a 15% bonus in the VALUES framework and now 10% in the new framework are supposed to get a 5% increase in base pay. Mathematically, that’s actually better as all your bonuses and raises are calculated on a higher base rate.

Has there been any transparency to this new banding system? Seems like a boondoggle from the top. Can't wait to have to do more with less so JD can pocket another 50mill.

Feels wrong to do this on top of bloating the bonus beyond the company’s actual performance.

Like. I’ll take the money. But it feels like they’re being financially irresponsible, just because senior leadership wanted a bonus.

I heard they increase your salary 5% if your bonus lowered 5%? But yeah the level 50 bonus increase...seems wrong when they didn't increase others and lowered others.

From which to which percentage were you moved? 15% to 10%?

I was under the impression rewards had stayed the same in the new framework.
