Let’s say you get RIF’d in February, and your anniversary is in June. Is your severance prorated on how close you are to your anniversary? Or do you actually have to be past your anniversary?

@1fbd stop with the same jellybean posts. It’s old.
For any partial year completed, Verizon HR has agreed to an enhanced severance package. You will receive, in addition to your earned benefit, a one year subscription to the jelly of the month club. Each month you will receive a jar of jelly in the mail. It's the gift that keeps on giving the whole year long.
If it is two weeks per year they aren’t going to give you a week and a half for 3/4 of a year.
Your severance is based on your actual time worked. 15 years and 3 months is just that. 27 years and 8 months is 27 years and 8 months. Nothing is pro rated.
P.s. they started accruing your vacation time so they could lay people off any time of the year and not have to pay your full vacation. And, if you used more than you accrued and are rifd, they can make you pay it back.
Sorry pal, Verizon does not honor any grace periods. You either meet the date or suffer the consequences.
