Is this a newer HR policy? I had not moved jobs since pre-shakeups, but every time I did, even if it was a lateral there was a corresponding pay increase.
Does this also mean that compensation will be flat year-over-year if you are staying in the same role? Unclear what the motivation to work my a-s off would be if they only way to make it pay off is getting a promotion, which seem like they are so infrequent and therefore will be extremely competitive.
It seems like the directors got this pass-down from LTs, but managers and leads are having to hear about this through the grapevine
