Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Dietsch org, business marketing: all to Dallas

Org will be in Dallas only. Those in Dallas metro already start ~July 10 3-5x a week.

No other hubs, even temporarily.

All others will be virtual, no office, until ~August 10 when they will hear of the timeframe to make a decision and then do the actual move. No indication of what either is other than it won't be "years" nor will it be "a few weeks" (so somewhere in between...no help)

No relo benefits.

If you get your notice and sign a paper saying you intend to move, and then don't move, you will forfeit severance. If you choose not to move and sign the paper, you can get severance assuming you meet other criteria.

@1elv She is the most evil, miserable woman I've ever met at AT&T. She is a detriment to the company, costing AT&T millions of dollars with her bad, irrational decisions. Various employees across the organization fear her -- after working with her in any capacity. She has a true, deep evil streak. She goes out of her way to ruin careers and halt progress for reasons beyond anyone's comprehension. Just heard she's retiring...finally. Ding do-g the witch is dead! From Atlanta, to Sacramento, NY, NJ and all over Dallas -- we'll all be celebrating the end of her reign of evil.

She’s got her tenure and can easily retire. Very very comfortable. Double income, no dependents. She doesn’t care about actual people. Sad. Alicia had potential years ago. I worked in the same area where she had an office. She wasn’t bitter and nasty like she is currently.

It would be reasonable to think if business marketing can be moved from all 50 stated to Dallas that the next step is over seas.
