Does anyone know if they are going to offer a severance with any second phase changes ?

@1dwg+1aknkXJw - That was not a VSP, it was just plain severance. There is a huge difference in the amount of money and benefits involved. Don't mix up VSP and severance they are different.
If you’re an SM you’re gonna get one when they eliminate most of you. GM’s got cut earlier this year, reps are all gonna be key holders soon. Guess we don’t need so many SM’s anymore.
@1knp+1aknkXJw You are incorrect. My friend from another location took the VSP when they were reducing headcount. He was offered CS /Telesales WFH or a Voluntary Separation agreement. It actually was on the paperwork he had to sign.
THEY WILL NOT BE GIVING SEVERANCE ANY MORE!!! If your store closes then you will get one but they closed the stores that they wanted closed in January. There might be a few stragglers but stop thinking there will be a severance package coming to you. They will change commission again in June then more people will quit and then Verizon will only hire 32-hour employees until all the tenure employees fizzle out. They got smart and will not be paying people to leave.
Wrong. A VSP (voluntary separation package) was something that was never offered to retail and never will be.
VSP’s will only be offered to those in stores that are closing or converting to indirects. There may be another round of VSP’s offered to reduce head/hourly count but it will be completely random.
You are going to be written up and term. No more severance will be given to retail reps.
So are there any rumors of one being offered ? I don't believe anyone has truly answered the question at hand.
Try applying for an entry level retail job and seeing how close your starting pay will be to $25-$30 an hour. You will be lucky to land close to $17 per hour even with years of experience. The icing on the cake is that most retail stores aren’t even hiring full time 40 hour jobs. That is the reality of the situation.
Before the commission changes I was averaging $40 an hour with my commission. Now it's $30 an hour if I'm really lucky. Still better than a lot of other jobs but I stay for the benefits
Tenured rep 25 an hour if they cut commission. I should easily bump to 30.
A lot of tenured reps make $22-25 an hour and another $5-7 averaged out with the monthly commission bonus. Why does anyone find it hard to believe a lot of solution specialists are averaging $30 an hour ? This is why there is no mass exodus because in the grand scheme of things the money is above average for the glorified clerking.
Don't lie to yourself you don't make $30 an hour.. you might have but not anymore.. if you are close to it.. that will change in June..
Somethings going to happen. Been with the company 10 years. My hourly and benefits just aren't sustainable for the requirements of the job. I just have to clerk now and kiss b––t to make $30 an hour and some sort of c––p bonus at the end of the month. Obviously they are trying to sweat people out of the job. Just ride it out.
