Rumor is circulating among multiple groups that 9/14 will see a massive layoff across multiple business lines.

You should realize these decisions were made weeks in advance. ART requests are already submitted and executed automatically via scripts. Sure there may be some manually turning down of functions but those aren’t necessary to remove day 1. Removing access to the network might be the easiest step in fact.
SORM is slated to be hit hard. Don’t think there will be any dodging the bullet again.
Same here. I personally know of people in our business tech and DMI that have been laid off. They're just chipping away at it.
@1dbk+1cCK9rQd and @rbk+1cCK9rQd - Actually, in my area it has been going on since November 17th. I won't name the group except to say it's "in Tech" - DTI. That's when we lost an entire management layer with specific job function. Since then, we have been losing people monthly - including business analysts, product managers, project managers, etc - all kinds of functions who in the days before agile would be creating and implementing technical solutions to all kinds of business initiatives.
I don't know what you are talking about. Tech has lost a lot of employees. Every monthly cut since April, I've seen people I know and worked with get laid off.

And you know this how?
Fake News
What areas of Home Lending will be affected?
They should just haul everyone into 2 rooms.
Everyone in one room is told they're being laid off. They are served McDonalds food.
Everyone in the other room is told they're keeping their jobs (if they really want them). They are served only the finest meats, fruit, and liquors.
Cars are really expensive right now.
they need to get people off the books before December so they don't have to payout 401k match
OP, it is just another guess, but another guesser.
Wish there was a way to volunteer
LOL, everyone of these BS posts always state it's Tech, then some other group, and oh yeah, its going to be a blood bath. Tech has hardly lost anyone in a year, but blood bath here we come. Come on, it's the same almost every month, 2k get let go and it sure isn't on one day as they don't have the person power to turn off 1500 eu's access, etc. on one specific day.
This is their last big chance to really take a sizable bite. 4q is silly season with all the holidays and ppl being out.
You can bet good money September is going to be a bloodbath of epic proportions
I doubt it will be the 14th, they usually do them on Thursdays and in the 3rd week of the month.

This is laughable considering the staff shortages already in both. Talk about cutting your own throat.
I call BS…unless they think they can send it all to a third party. Good luck with that. They’ve done brilliantly so far.
Anyone know if SERM will be affected?
I heard tech will be hit
Tech and Home Lending Operations are those impacted based on the rumor I heard today.
We want names!
Where do I sign up?
Count me in. My hand is raised.
Make my day
Dear universe please let it be my turn.
So now we have the 14th and the 23rd. Kind of like a rain dance - keep dancing long enough and eventually it will rain. That having been said, I'd be happy with either - just get me outta here.
The lack of detail tells me this is a lot of bovine ex------t.
Can you please provide a little more detail: which groups, which job families, where was the information received.
