Depends on area, SSIM techs do the network 911 ckts. Abs did the 911 CPE, in my area, now SSIM does Both sides, just depends on area I guess.

Most of the ABS work was moved to Business Services SSIM tech a couple years ago in my area, the original ABS techs work on the Pbx’s that still remain the field. SSIM techs were trained on 911 CPE last year. SSIM techs now install the routers, IP phones etc along with the network equipment.

Let's pick on McFresh's direct reports, what have they personally done within the last 6 months, at the P&L level, for the company. Professional headshots doesn't count, having a script and talking in circles doesn't count, repeating what McFresh/Stank said doesn't count. How many of their friends and family brought company products and services? How many referral bonus are they collecting? How many customers and contracts lost at their watch? Can they put enough wins to keep their high paying jobs and company benefits?

Renz is call center piece of biz

What is Renz? Never heard that term before.

One of the most unethical orgs especially Renz centers.

For starters they need to fire the eds avps etc.

aun - I tried to explain that already. When you work here you build up a network of contacts. Many of these contacts are ED's/AVPs, directors, and 2nd line managers. Many of them are getting word of what their "numbers" will be today. Numbers being, here's how many people you have to fire. Across 20+ of these managers in all parts of ABS, the numbers are in the 30s to 50% reductions for each one. Not everything is figured out yet, least of all the structure or who's reporting to who when it's done. But they have a target for how many heads they want, and this is what it's looking like.

Yea, she's a real successful self-brander. Her professionally-done headshots are everywhere, deliberately. You will not see any communication from Anne Chow without her mugging for the camera. It's her brand, but what it does for the company I don't know. It's all about her just like it is for the whole C-Suite.

To the OP: Where (or from whom) are you getting your 33- 50% reduction number? If is is from an actual person, today, who would actually know about it please tell us. If that number is based on things you've read here, then it's really just speculation and could be wildly off.

Of course, the punchline is that since Jeffy McElturd dropped the bombshell two weeks ago, management has done nothing but let everyone stew, stress, and speculate. Naturally the result is morale is in the toilet, people are wound tight as a torniquet, and there is a lot of hate building toward the top,

And they deserve it.

Chow is just a figure head not really contributing anything of substance. She just tours the country doing events speaking. Maybe if she had focus in the org being productive and creating value instead of bs her org would not be facing this.

oro - OP here. Not sure when announcements are coming or if there will be affected workgroup calls. nobody knows off payroll dates yet. We speculate late july but that is nothing more than speculation. these are reports from directors and avps/EDs who have been given their 'numbers.'

Layoff bloodbath is nothing but a bean counter's game. These mo–ns don't have a clue on how to come up with decent products/services at competitive prices. Hey, let's close all the stores and sell phones with vending machines, genius. Tell that to your fortune 500 clients, you want service, go down to the local mall and buy our phones next to the coke machine.

Chow covers business. Att business solutions is abs. If you are hearing that op, when are announcements? Chow has an all hands call Monday. Wouldn’t make sense to announce anything then.
