Mediocre health insurance, poor 401k contributions, a terrible vesting schedule, and PTO they don’t pay out. And that was before the C-Suite paranoia fully kicked in (hello, PEGA). They would probably take away work from home if they had any office space left.

Sometimes I feel like they should start selling the state plans back to private not for profits again . It just seems like the plans and their employees and their patients were so much better off before they got absorbed by this giant profit making offshoring machine
@1bj ive looked at Washington University, and other major employers in our area and there is absolutely no room for interpretation that our benefits are better than theirs. The pay was also 20k LESS. So, no, it's not anecdotal. We have the option of 4 health plans, that isn't typical. We have a free clinic onsite for corporate employees, that's not typical. We have back up childcare option for $15 a day...not typical. We have infertility and adoption benefits - not typical. We have childcare centers that are hundreds of dollars LESS than the average childcare in the area - definitely not a normal benefit. Some employers around us don't even match. Jobs might be sh---y but to say we have bad benefits is fking wild and made by people who havent actually looked into the job market. Did everyone forget we are also full remote?? So you shouldn't be paying $5/gallon to get to work to sit at a desk?
@1c8 You don’t get to select your vesting schedule, hun. That’s not how it works.
The benefits are based on what you select, so yes if you choose the cheapest one they’re probably not great.
@zw This myopic line of thinking is what is wrong with this country. Glad for you it only cost $700. But your “hot take” is a little anecdotal, no?
We use to have great benefits.
Just wait till ICHRA lol.
$700 total to have our baby isn't terrible health insurance...
The 401k really stands out as terrible. Our friends working over in Louisville at the Green “H” had a much better plan a few years back. That might have changed now though. 5 years to fully vest is pathetic.
Well the good news is you probably won’t be here long enough to worry about them. Especially if you are on the Ambetter side.
