Who else here reports into useless senior management who know nothing about the subject matter of the department they are in charge of and also have little to no emotional intelligence in regard to their employees. I do.

This place is just a paycheck now at this point. I do like my manager and our department manager I realize most of the decisions are not in their control. It’s the upper management and the constant micromanaging that has ruined this place for me. Our team knows there’s little we can control even amongst the department management that we’re just at the mercy of whatever executives are feeling like doing. Giving feedback is useless when you’re not heard by the company.
I've been lucky in this regard. Middle management for me at the bank has always been phenomenal and even the lower-senior management they report up to. It definitely makes a huge difference if you're lucky enough to be in one of those bubbles of sanity.
I work with a manager that cannot do the job but yet takes credit for the team’s work. The bank likes to have the H1B visa employees because they tolerate bad management. Its especially bad in technology.
My senior manager thinks every problem on earth can be solved with a spreadsheet.
A lot of the comments seem like folks work in technology.
My senior manager was trash way before the RTO debacle. Having a bad manager is the absolute worst. Envious of those of you who have managers you feel safe with here.
I work with great managers but they are all just as tired and exhausted of the recent bs. Things have to change for the better or they will go elsewhere soon. Everyone is so tired of this Hub RTO cr-p and sharing desk bs. Are they going to have open bathroom stall concept installed next? Everyone is talking and all are sick of all this.
@1brg+1sYv9qUk That’s fair, reading that it was worded terribly. Not intended to gaslight but we all have the power to demand better. None of us deserve to miserable in the workplace. I could’ve worded that entirely differently. That’s on me….my bad.
@zok+1sYv9qUk Speaking of gaslighting and lack of emotional intelligence, this comment is exactly that. People need jobs to pay for life. It’s not that easy, especially right now, for people to walk away from an income. Glad you can so easily not be miserable, but we all cope differently and are in varying dysfunctional work situations.
My manager is toxic AF and the master of gaslighting and pushing off workload onto others. Understand some of the management here is not happy either, but I can barely get bare minimum decency out of mine and have witnessed them do terribly demoralizing things. (Intentional or not). How they are still here is mind boggling and has greatly impacted the morale of my team.
But you show up everyday? Figure out something else to do or do something to make it better. No need to go to work and be miserable
Too many to count. It’s a joke.
