Contribution reporting fairness

How is it that someone who works at a store that does half the volume as mine and helps half the amount of customers that I do end up having a better contribution report then me.? Forgot about the quality of the sale ...I’m talking raw numbers of customers scene. So I worked twice as hard for less pay and a lower contribution score.? How is that fair ?

They give us a team quota but don't reduce the quota when we are short people. My store is down 3 reps and we are constantly busy but service customers stay and wait while new lines walk. No quota relief... we get screwed. With reduced store head count they wanted us to do more sales per person but now when we are short we get beat up all day and then lose money because there is no way 5 reps can do the work of 8. This company blows. Hans is a thief.

Best to not even shoot for five bars. 5 bars is like going to Presidents cabinet but instead of a nice expensive trip, you get $200 and taxed to high he-l. Just take a short lunch for 10 days and your over time will be equal to or greater then the kicker anyways. They should rename it to the "just don't be at one bar, report"

“It's not quality it's quantity. Contribution report is scored based on transactions per hour. That's why the reps in our store that take forever with customers are always 1 bar.”

Last month I had double the amount of transactions then a fellow rep ( both worked same amount of hours ) and we both scored a 3 on contribution report. The system is flawed.

@1bio+1gD91MWL 100% agreed. There is a huge advantage to working in the smaller traffic stores. Less work same pay at the very least. Let’s also point out the fact that there is no quota “ relief “ when people are out on vacation, short/long term and maternity leave. Now the reps left have to make up all that extra work to hit quota with ZERO incentive and no appreciation. Nobody ever thinks of that though do they ?

I understand what the OP is trying to say. Naturally when you work in a larger volume store you handle more customers daily then a smaller store. Take quotas for instance. I can prove that quotas are not done fairly by store location. The largest volume store in our district has 9 reps and lowest volume store has 6. If you divided the quota by rep in each location the larger volume store still has a higher per rep quota. How is that fair ? The numbers don’t lie and if you work in a higher volume store you need to sell about 20% more then a rep in a lower volume one. That’s just ridiculous.

You said the answer in your question “forget the quality of sale”. It’s on you there. I’m no fan of the standards, but you sound like you are making excuses for not doing well. You aren’t working twice as hard, you’re going to handle as many customers as you can, and no more. Staffing sucks, for sure, but you can’t just manifest time when there is none. Take care of who you have in front of you as best you can. (That doesn’t mean taking your time so you don’t have to help others, it means get the most out of the sap in front of you and get them out the door). Looking at the reps in my district and those around us, the bigger and busier stores reps got an advantage on the extra money, all us small stores got screwed.

It doesn't sound fair to me, unless you get commission.

Then, it's not fair to the person that works at the store with lower volume, is it?
