@2hzn+1shhn0dZ why aren't you home-based vs hybrid then?

There are approved offices. Per the policy faq (linked in the email) you have to attend your assigned office only.

I live 200 miles away from the closest Verizon corporate office. Do they really expect me to drive up a couple times per week to show up and have a field day at work? Or does going to the closest empty Verizon retail store count as going into the office? Give me a break with this foolish leadership team.

The policy was amended. It was emailed to all us hybrid employees. Directly from VLC aka Hans. How much more documentation would you like? A hand delivered hand written personally addressed letter from Hans?

I can’t wait to see all of the resignations that will come from my team including my very own. Looking forward to the next chapter of my career.

They will never get me in that rats nest, there is no real documented policy. It is all down to your managers dicscretion.

If you have any candid conversations with anyone at vp or above level you’ll hear a different story. Our svp told us Hans was frustrated that even after the 3 day a week mandate for vps and up he couldn’t get them in office. That’s part of why the new mandate went out. They definitely track and know who is there.

How is 3-4 and different than the 2 they just pushed out with regard to space? They aren’t offsetting days to deal with overflow.

Whoever is saying 3-4 days per week won’t happen probably said once per month wouldn't happen…then twice per month wouldn’t happen….well they definitely won’t make use come in weekly…absolutely not twice per week…now 3 days won’t happen? How many times can you be wrong before you concede?

Every Hybrid employee received an update today stating that our leadership has set an expectation that all Hybrid employees are to be in the office a minimum of 8 days per month. Our schedule is 3 days a week. We will continue to follow our schedule for all Hybrid employees.

Spoke directly with my vp. I was told they were called by hr to explain their lack of badge activity for a particular week. Feel free to deny it (they had/have no reason to lie about it). The same way rto was denied and eventually became a reality. 8 days per month is the current minimum. It’ll most likely increase to at least 3 days in 2025 and 4-5 in 2026.

"Basking ridge is already bursting at the seams."

Really? When I was there several weeks ago for mid-week meetings, I was shocked at what a ghost town it was. More people manning security by the front door than there were on the floor I was headed to. Maybe I misunderstand your point.

“VPs getting called by HR on their own attendance” lol! Utter nonsense.

Many mistakenly identify as remote workers, when they're actually hybrid workers who simply refuse to go to the office since the pandemic. Before claiming you're remote, check the employee directory where it's clear you're contributing to the need for Return to Office policies.

Verizon stock down below $40.
It was $63 when Hans took over.

First off. 3 and 4 days will never happen esp in NJ. They closed down offices and the IT center in Piscataway. Where are they going. Basking ridge is already bursting at the seams. And badge swipes. No it’s not happening as we speak. Who you hear that from is BS. Bosses are already worring about productivity going down. And it’s going to happen. So fire people. To do what hire other lazy people. Who cares. You all ruined it who never came in on you set days. Now you’re sc--wed. My lawn will still look good. My house chores will still happen.

8 days is the starting point. Eventually 3-4 days per week. They absolutely already track badge swipes. Ask the vp’s who have gotten calls from HR about their own personal attendance (they are currently required to be 3 days). Those who aren’t complying will eventually be notified and tossed out.

If you think you’re actually productive working from home spending half your workday on home chores and yard work please seek employment elsewhere.

To the person saying he hasn't been in the office since 2022, thanks pal, you ruined it for everyone. This happened only because so many people didn't do the few days a month they were asked to do.

The constant whining about returning to the office. You are only confirming that your job can be performed remotely, which to Hans means from any country. No whining when they have compiled the data and RIF your a-s

I just hope this stops the different rules for different VPs. Some have band 7's going in, some just 6 and up, 7s at home. I'd appreciate the honesty more if they just said we are all going in, deal with it. I don't need my hand held

How closely will they track this? Or is it honor system?

Also, what if you come in the morning, but go home at lunch? Does that count as one of your days?

My buddy works at AT&T, and they are required 2 days in-office. But he can just come in for part of the day, and that counts as in-office.

Hurr durr rTO iS cOMiNg

If you wanna go to the office then go to the go.dd.amn office. Honestly at this point I don't think it's an obsession. I think it's people trolling because there's NO way this many BS RTO posts can still be happening YEARS after.

Hybrid schedules are staying. And guess what? I'm "SUPPOSED" to go to the office 4 days per month. Know the last time I stepped foot in my office? August 2022. Know why? NOBODY GIVES A FLYING F.UC.K

@1bxs+1shhn0dZ WFH will soon be seeing as huge disadvantage (even when approved by HR due to being “very remote”), especially now when there is company-wide RTO mandate just for two reasons - 1) No career mobility - 99% of roles are being posted as hybrid only to get rid of WFH status, 2) Being put on the next RIF list - why would VZ want to hurt employee presence and collaboration from the hubs when its the whole point of RTO

I wonder if you’re WFH today, and live near a center, you’re part of this too. Front line excluded

Two days a week. Who cares. But this joint talks about going green and green bonds. And less carbon emissions but f it. The a-s kissers are prob jumping up and down with glee.

WFH here and was told that the changes would go into effect 6/3 but it would only impact hybrid. Hybrids in my org are being asked to come in twice a week with the individual deciding which two days. WFH, there are no plans to change that as individuals are very remote and were approved for the locations they are located in by HR. Many WFH do not live in cities where there are offices.

I don't understand the CONSTANT OBSESSION with RTO. Who cares? If you are adding value, you should be able to do that from WHEREVER you are working from. You don't need to be in the office to be fully engaged and adding value. By the same token you can be in the office everyday and not add any value, not be engaged and not accomplish anything meaningful. Being in the office does not guarantee ANYTHING for productivity. If you are a professional, if you are dedicated and serious about being a team player who delivers results IT DOES NOT MATTER WHERE YOU DO IT FROM..GIve IT A REST>>>! GE-Z>>>!

WFH conversion to Hybrid for NON-frontline call center reps was the question. Ops/data/various offline support, etc.

Sounds like Hybrid for all but on the phone reps, weather you are WFH or not today?
