Chance to get new job

Recently applied internal position which is one level higher than my current role, how much chance for me to actually get that job if I know the team lead which is the interviewer and other team members?

You're crazy. I've seen a ton of job openings lately where qualified internal employees were ignored because a manager a couple levels up is a new outsider and wants to bring in people from outside Wells Fargo.

Moving up in WF is getting near impossible when they keep hiring from the outside and those people have their outside buddies.

The only part that matters is you know the hiring manager. Know many who have been flat out ignored by recruiters after applying to many internal jobs, but they had no connection to the hiring team. Lately it seems like WF managers want to bring in their friends at higher pay than the legacy people. You have a better chance than most.

Pretty high since corporate positions are filled by nepotism, sorry I meant networking.

I'm in the process of interviewing for a position that is 1 grade higher than my current position (even though it's the exact same job just with a different group - weak manager?) The recruiter told me they can go as high as a 20% increase from my current pay. Don't be afraid to ask for the max, it's your only opportunity for a salary increase before that awesome 1% - 2% annual increase. Unless of course you fall into the required quota of inconsistently meets :,) thanks Chuckles....

I know a team that was giving out an instant 20% pay raise increase for joining their team. Like the previous post, don’t settle for less. Only desperate people or old timers still work here.

Pretty high, no one else wants to work here
PS- you can get a 15% base pay raise without any additional approvals. Don’t settle for less.
