It’s unprofessional, but I believe there are a lot of people who want to leave all of this without giving any notice. I even saw on one of the threads below that someone is advising a person to leave without giving a notice. I would never do that, in spite of everything, but I still wonder if there are those who left just like that, without notice?

@ @1cau+1bBKNx5w that's great if they got a personal reference from a former coworker. Good ole boyz are alive and well. The company itself will only verify that they worked there, not that they were fired.
Verizon doesn't fire you without notice unless it's for cause.
@1cau+1bBKNx5w Reading is fundamental
Do you.
Verizon has to do things a certain way to cover their bases. You really don’t. If you need a personal reference, you can always ask that person if you have a good relationship with them. All a hiring company can really do is verify previous employment. I know a person who was fired from Verizon for stealing and later promoted to GM at another carrier.
It’s like being in school and being threatened with a remark on your permanent record.
I just left fu-k a notice!
@1axy+1bBKNx5w That’s kind of funny because I work for a Verizon reseller and my DM was actually fired from a corporate Verizon store several years ago for theft. Yeah so that’s how those reference things work out.
I gave notice but it was not the full 2 weeks. I had a start date with my new Job, not a competitor and was told I could help with trouble shooting customer, work the door, stock, clean invatory room, check in shipment etc. After 5 days of that BS I said today is my last day.
Horrible company, get put of you can.
It’s your life dude you don’t need Verizon’s permission! Even if you put a two weeks in and for some reason wanted to go back to VZW they still wouldn’t hire. Fu-k em
Verizon doesn't fire you without notice unless it's for cause. An involuntary termination is given 30 days notice minimum. That being said, if you leave without notice, don't ask for any personal references. ;-)
Verizon can fire you without notice. Does anyone care if that makes the company
unprofessional?
