Thread regarding JPMorgan Chase & Co. layoffs

Attrition for Tech, not layoffs

Here is how Bank of America plans to reduce employee levels - https://www.cnbc.com/2022/12/06/bank-of-america-ceo-brian-moynihan-on-how-he-plans-to-trim-its-workforce.html

The same concept is applicable to JP Morgan Chase Tech. Employees who are the only resource at a certain location from their team have been denied remote working agreements. As one such employee, I spend most of my day on Zoom calls with my manager and my colleagues. Is there any benefit to my team? Add this to the newly introduced levels within each rank and everyone being pushed to the lower level regardless of expertise and years of experience.

If you are the only team member at a location, then why do you need to go the office?
