Litearlly all of the lazy, entitled, underskilled but overcompensated people I've worked with at hbbt and truist have been middle aged to old white men. I am from the rural north east and when I moved down here it was pretty funny to see first hand how the trope of "minorities are lazy" is just southern whites projecting. Not sure about suntrust, but before my time at hbbt, and in the last 15 years, they were fined by the gov for systemic, blatant descrimination against people of color. And you don't think that affected hiring/etc in the core of the bank going all the way back to the racists who founded it?

DEI is very EXCLUDING. It has created "GROUPS". If you are not part of that group you are excluded. If it's not your morals, beliefs or values you are excluded. Not all cultures, races, s-xes, s-xual orientations, religions, political beliefs, sports or even colleges are celebrated or recognized. This whole DEI movement has created and encouraged exclusion. Everyone should be who they are and recognized for that. When can we all just be. When can we all just accept each other for just being themselves, good or bad, we are all who we are with all the diversity, equity that includes us all.

DEI is the only category Truist is winning any kind of recognition anymore. We were among the first to that pandering bandwagon and looks like will be the last to hop off of it.
No we need to get rid of fragile teammates who get easily triggered by the slightest bit of diversity in the workplace.
