Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

Truist's reputation is disintegrating

It hasn't been that long since the merger and Truist is already managing to ruin the reputation and goodwill BB&T had built up with its clients. Don't even get me started on employees, everybody who can is looking to get away. This must be some kind of record... Give it another few years and we'll have no clients and no employees.

TRUTH has a way of SURFACING. Reputation is def going to take a hit as the current goings-on are being spread by word of mouth. Why don't they just fire the employees they think are in excess instead of issuing false write-ups thereby creating pressure to look for jobs and resign or be terminated since they have grounds (notices) when the merger work has completed that they want out of you.

@1adf - That is one of the most accurate summarizations of Truist, and the current work environment, I have seen. I am also to the point of actively telling friends not to bank at Truist, as any company that treats their own employees so callously, will obviously not have their best interest in mind either. The “good” news is Truist, through their failing service levels, is doing a good job of telling clients to stay away themselves!

This place is a disaster to work right now. With the merger dates approaching, I’ve never seen employees so stressed and frustrated. Unfortunately, I don’t see it getting better after the merger is complete. You can guarantee executives will immediately be looking for ways to cut costs. I had always considered myself a loyal employee, but that thought is long gone.

I highly recommend friends and family not to bank there. There was a purge of some prominent conservative clients (like boa, jpm, paypal and citi started doing) and some of them called out the bank on it and the bank back peddled on one after the client blew the whistle. After seeing the nature of the bank and where it is headed, I will never be able to proactively bring people here nor would I recommend. The only business they will get is whatever person is silly enough to stroll in and say I want to bank here. The conditions are poor for clients and employees as well. I have not seen such low morale in my life at any company. Lets hope they change the culture and morale by mailing us one more piece of corporate propaganda. Or maybe another raise cap at 2.5% for highest performers while the EL rakes in 10-25% off the hard work of your back. At truist you are as good as the last widget production you pushed on an unsuspecting client into and you better have at least given them an insurance quote too or your DM will make you call the poor client back.

I am really hoping after February things will improve. I won't be there to see it, but for the teammates I love, I want things better.

No surprise here, associate survey said less than half of employees would recommend Truist. But everything is going great with the merger.
