Thread regarding Paramount Global layoffs

I don’t know about you, but I’m just worn out from all this cr-p

I can’t remember the last time we had a normal day at work, where people weren’t completely at their wit’s end. This past year and a half has felt like collective torture, and there’s still no end in sight.

Use FMLA and take some time off to recharge without using PTO.

@17x Says a complaining crybaby who can't move on from the fact that nobody else wants to lick boots with him -- let alone knock boots with him.

Definitely not the same company. Even the way they’ve communicated with the employees is cold. The entire pack and clean process coupled with the RTO floor shuffling has been poorly handled. Way more corporate than the creative and fun vibes it used to have.

It’s a different company now. It starts at the top and reached rock bottom. Very sad for all dismantled networks. So many teams invested their expertise over the years to fine tune department structure for success and that’s gone too. Our personal lives and health are more important than the new company. It’s hard to put your heart into a company that doesn’t care about you. Do your best work and leave on time when you can.

@d5 that’s on you though no offense. I told my org to knock off at 1pm Wednesday. I wasn’t waiting for some corporate overload email. Without our awesome employees we are nothing.

Just taking thanksgiving as an example. They used to tell us there’s a half day on Wednesday. Thanks for all your hard work. Nothing this year except gc said we deserve the holiday. My reports all asked me about Wednesday and I told them we’d probably get an email. Oh well. I mean pto are unlimited but still

Most people are demoralized except for the overpaid 'leaders' at the top that have been here forever with their big fat paychecks - who's going to hire them if they are let go?

Never seen the entire employee base so demoralized, from the '80s to today, through mergers and separations, through layoffs, through national emergencies and tragedies, through show cancelations and network sunsettings, through previous periods of inept management that nobody thought could get worse -- it did get worse. And it keeps getting worse. SkyDunce seems to be modeling its management style on the White House kakistocracy, installing brash know-nothings who are absolutely certain that they and Heir Ellison will be seen as revolutionary titans of industry rather than shining examples of failing upward.
