QUIET QUIT is the way to go. Let those directors and above justify their LTI to work harder for their money
@1v8 BB needs a visit like scrooge had from the three ghosts of Christmas. Even that wouldn't change his selfish and greedy ways.
Sorry BB more quiet quitting is coming your way until you show some love back to your hardworking employees.
Stop being Minnesota Nasty
it frustrates the life out of me that BB buys back $2.2 billion of shares and cant even bother awarding employees in the plants a christmas incentive or meagre bonus, the christmas dinners have stopped , the social club money has stopped the service dinners have stopped the everyday wins points have stopped, the BBQ's and Pizza days have stopped, this company don't give a zip for the ordinary joe,
i am working from plant operations and this sudden layoff news suc.ks
what a time to announce when the holiday season is around the corner
BB- may your family be blessed with a peaceful christmas
@1ej When Murph the Smurf dumps his shares, time to cash out of the GESPP before this POS shifts back down. Wall Street will be fooled only so long by BB's "strategic plans" (layoffs, spins, more layoffs, more benefits cuts).
The year end layoffs are here. Sorry for those who are going into Christmas while losing your job at 3M
@ky the entire org will be outsourced. BB playblook. MM sold his shares. Read between the lines.
50 salaried laid off in Juarez
Mass layoffs look bad, and Wall Street doesn't like them.
So instead we have smaller layoffs continuously throughout the year, and then there's no need to issue WARN notices so Wall Street can pretend it doesn't see the su-king chest wound in this dying company.
@1av unfortunately BB has a bunch of MBAs to please on Wall Street every quarter. Since the R and D pipeline has mostly dried up after years of neglect, BB has to find other ways to "boost" earnings. So yes, expect more bloodbaths in 2026. The top line isn't going to grow so BB and his cronies will need to find ways to cut costs, which means cur employees.
But it could be worse. SOLV under Bryan is even more hellbent about cutting costs instead of investing for growth. And he makes double what BB makes with a much smaller company.
Will there likely be more layoffs in 2026?
@1a9 HTR is Hire to Retire which is a process area in IT working on what is basically Human Resources applications - Workday as a main example.
HTR is Hire to Retire. It’s an SAP term for a group in HR.
@16t Can you share what HRT stands for?
I heard 100 positions, focused on the US and Costa Rica.
@16t any idea of numbers? Or number by area?
@16t was your whole HTR IT team let go?
Just got layed off today in HTR. Leave if you can. They want to transition to as few 3mers and as many contract workers as possible throughout 2026.
This company is so sh1tty
@158 why the tip now and not the full ice berg all at same time?
D&a folks will find a job easier than anyone in the company based on market need. Theres nobody left to lay off so everyone should stop worrying so much
@14a this is the tip of the iceberg, very sad to say.
@13w the smurf may be the most unqualified leader in recent years, with the exception of Tireman, who broke records for incompetence.
Clearly BB can't see what a buffoon he has working under him. Maybe because he's more focused on hiring friends and cronies.
This place is Sh1t. I am getting out of here.
@109 is this just initial round of more to come?
MM is and continues to be a clown. No real digital leadership, takes credit for others accomplishments, and only knows how to cut. Literally a plague to 3M
@109 that makes no sense. Only 100 total so how could he cut half his d&a team?
There is no VP in D&A only a Director who has to cut half of his team during last layoff
Yes the cuts following IT D&A is expected to be announced within next 2 months. BB is determined to start the new year without these redundant headcount
@rb you are wrong. IT announced 100 jobs thru US, Costa Rica GSC, and Philippines GSC.
The other areas will probably be hearing from their areas next week.
@rr Creating strat decks with Navigator and putting the group through a re-org so that no one knows what they’re supposed to be doing.
Anybody know what D&A VP doing
There were no layoffs this is just bs
Sources say there's some cuts planned for ESC plant ops group. Charles is waiting to execute plan once given the green light from BB. Timeline by year end.
@q4 100 IT employees will be affected by layoffs across the US and the Global Service Centers. This was announced this morning.
So, no one has any confirmed layoffs? Or just all hearsay.
Just before thanksgiving…
I swear the only thing Mark Smurphy has done as CIDO is just layoffs JFC.
Well… who’s gotten canned?
@mm cultural shift, say more?
