Does anyone know how much this transformation has cost the company? And how many Americans lost their jobs to other countries?

@14w If you strongly believe it does not matter where jobs land, please advocate for all of us to work from anywhere. The reason we are mandated to come into an office is because it does matter.
Of course, we are a global company and should hire globally. However, have you tried working in any deep and meaningful way with coworkers (especially, contractors) located in another country? It can be challenging. I guess eventually it will not matter when nearly all S&T, Finance, Marketing and you-name-it-function jobs are centrally-located in either India or Mexico.
Also, it is insensitive to say it does not matter where the jobs land when we are still mourning the loss of some great coworkers.
We are a worldwide company! Need to stop thinking in silos, we are global. Does not matter what country the jobs land in .
@r5 Does anyone know how this expensive transformation compares to other companies’ transformation?
On average about $4 billion per year since AK has been here….
About $3.5 Billion in restructuring and transformation costs in the last 5 years. I'm sure it is paying off (sarcasm).
@a9 they expect you to do five people roles.
@a9 Completely agree. We cannot be squeezed more. Refuse if pushed around.
This toxic Indians mindset is ki-ling all of us.
Trump should be reporting our Indians leadership
They only look at line item “savings”. Morale is low because employees are being asked to do more with less while compensation falls behind, benefits are cut, and workloads keep growing. Then when results miss the mark, weak leadership blames execution instead of questioning the plan.
At some point, employees have to stop accepting this as normal. Speak up, document the workload (either they don’t know or most likely don’t care), compare notes, and push leadership to answer for compensation, staffing, benefits, and accountability. Transformation shouldn’t mean squeezing the workforce until there’s nothing left to give.
