Until it was destroyed by leadership who didn't and don't care about either the company or employees, but do care a lot about making sure to fill their own pockets as much as they can before this place is so ruined that there's nothing left to pick from its carcass.

@13c If only HR had as much say as everyone seems to believe they do. They don't create the layers upon layers. It's being done to them as well.
It’s the layers upon layers upon layers of positions that bring little to no value.
HR needs to wake up
Make sure you wake up extra early, stay late, take on extra work since they cut positions so that we can afford Gil’s cigars and the endless travel amongst groups of people.
Not to mention the $400,000 collectively paid out to senior MSMs in the VAS team whom mostly “work” from their homes and are over paid secretaries.
Or how about the on-going events at headquarters? Free lunch! Free Free Free!
Let’s take out more loans and promote more friends so our friends get paid more money.

Preaching to the choir my friend…couldn’t have said it better. How many great colleagues have we lost over the years moving on to winning industries and companies? How’s left at Hertz? A heavy layer of mediocre employees and toxic crooks in the leadership ranks.
