Ppl don't want to go to the office because they actually have to do work.
What ‘new’ guy are you referring to?
People coming in daily do fake tasks and claim success on tasks they don't do. Then those tasks and "best practices" spread false lies like plastic straws ki-ling sea turtles. Then everyone has to do fake stuff. Smoke and mirrors. We all play.

- I’m more productive at home
- I’m distracted at work
- the office is too far
- the closer office no one actually goes in so what’s the point
- the further office has a lot of people but I don’t want to drive
- I’ll have to leave early every day

Yeah it is bad. They keep talking about that where I am located. Went into the office Friday and it was a ghost town. The days I actually go in and there are people there, I get nothing accomplished because people stand around and talk. Leadership has no idea... I am way more productive working remotely.
OP - yes if you are janitor, you have to report 5 days a week in office
