He was brought in to break the company up into pieces to be sold out. He has zero interest in actually saving the company. They will sell the company out piece by piece until there is nothing left and he will get a huge bonus for doing so.

Are H1B visa holders untouchable?

I got laid off this week

I was pretty bummed out about it. But I think shareholders are probably happier to see me go than I am sad to have lost my job. The total happiness in the world increased. So, whatever.
