Attrition declined in 2022?

My group is loosing some young engineers in 2022, but far fewer than were leaving at this same time in 2021. Also no more RE left in my group so none to leave in 2022. Attrition way down? Is this typical across most groups?

Can’t, Won’t, Don’t Stop

The resignations seem to be accelerating! People don’t want to put up with another assessment cycle when the market is so hot with opportunities.

Gooood luck hotshots

As my good ol' friend BK at EMIT used to say, good luck you su---r hotshots. If you think you can get a job at Amazon and quantuple your salary, good luck to you hotshots! What a guy!

The raise is just an illusion

They give you a 2-3% raise and the next person is downgraded by that same amount, or even let go. Same or even a smaller cost to the company. My advice to the people that are exited about their raises: Don’t pop the champagne just yet. Tomorrow it... — read more

New Exploration VP should have been an external hire

The announcement of JA as new Head of Global Exploration was a missed opportunity to shake things up, like DW has done with the CFO, Investor Relations, and most recently with Low-Carbs Greenwashing Solutions. Geoscience has been decimated and the... — read more

EMIT Forum: Oops, no time for Q&A

Oops, they ran out of time to go through a significant number of questions during the Q&A portion. How surprising! If one were suspicious, one might think that they wanted to reduce the chances for people to get answers to tough questions...
