Can't stop what is going to happen. I wish Al and Greg had a heart. Many people will be out on the street and the top people don't care. It's business as usual. Enbridge Energy is not a good environment at the moment.

Instead of being all negative, why don't we all take some breaths, relax, get over this week and try to get back to normal. Stressing out about rumors and the what ifs doesn't help anyone.

Enbridge had 11,000 while spectra had 6,000 staff and the total combined asset is 53% from Enbridge and 47% from spectra. From the numbers there will be more cuts in Enbridge

Honestly - you're all too expensive, lazy, and inefficient. You should be all so lucky that we're only trimming 40% and not 60% of the staff. Maybe this will teach you all a lesson in economics

If a certain someone makes it through this round of cuts, I am truly going to question leadership. When people are voluntarily jumping ship in this economy, a red flag ought to be raised.

Anyone else hear about the centralization of dispatch and clerical jobs to support the 100 union layoffs.

I heard that all contractors in both the US and Canada will have to take a 10% pay-cut. Oh Boy! It just keeps getting better and better!

What are you guys seeing in your locations? I'm sure the former Spectra people are panicking but enbridge guys in downtown know the drill.

After Cynthia's email this morning the word is 100 union members in EGD will be let go... I know in the Toronto office there are about 20 union position currently vacant, hopefully these are the positions affected.

They are gearing up to layoff people on either March 22. Making all sorts of plans and it's the worst kept secret. Remember Al, how you treat people will come back to you in the long run. Wonder if he and Greg can sleep at night?

Is this company worth working for if layoffs are on a regular basis for the sake of the "stakeholders"? My friends were considering to apply some jobs at Enbridge and I could not really sugar coat the reality.

Anyone else hear rumors of layoffs coming in April?
