Round 3 - March?
I heard the third round of our layoffs starts in March. What have other people heard?
ConocoPhillips is expected
ConocoPhillips is expected to report a full-year revenue of $35.91 billion and an EPS of -40 cents per share. Therefore, it should have a dividend coverage ratio of -0.14. ConocoPhillips' negative dividend coverage ratio indicates it may be in... — read more

Venezuelan Mafia
They are a force on the main campus, are they a force elsewhere as well? Did any get laid-off? Or they just looking out for themselves?
Am I the only one that is noticing that people were laid off only to be replaced by those on the COST team?
Hatfield padded the COST team with people that were not in positions with a high business need (PAB, Barnett) and now made 'openings' for these people. In the next cost-cutting go-around, I will be the first to raise my hand to volunteer for that... — read more
EagleFord Reorganization
I understand there is going to be an announcement today regarding the reorganization of EagleFord. Does anyone know what that announcement is? How are they reorganizing the asset?
It seems like everyone here is an economist
At least now that if y'all got laid off (or already have), you know what your next career path should be.
Layoffs
Thought this site was about layoffs.
Cash flow neutrality by 2017 is dependent on 70 WTI on average. Is this possible?
WTI has been in the 60's for 6 months and 45 for 4 months, I highly doubt it unless the cost cutting strategy continues.
ConocoPhillips is expected* to report earnings on 10/29/2015 before market open.
The report will be for the fiscal Quarter ending Sep 2015. According to Zacks Investment Research, based on 9 analysts' forecasts, the consensus EPS forecast for the quarter is $-0.18. The reported EPS for the same quarter last year was $1.29.

I'm very sorry this is happening but I understand it
I really respect everyone opinions and I am truly sorry anyone got laid off. As someone who spent sometime in "unknown land" without any job prospect, I can totally understand the frustration. However, I also understand the reason why the company is... — read more
If COP really cared about so called SPIRIT "Values"
They would have given people notice and time to find a new job. Or at least, management would not have warned supervisors against contacting or communicating with anyone whose been laid-off.
Delayed paychecks - Really?
Did anyone notice that paychecks were issued a day late? Really? For years, the mid-month paycheck went to the bank on the 15th so it would actually be available on the 16th. This month, however, the paycheck went in on the 16th, so it won't actually... — read more
