What do we know?
Observations on ROM Results
Having worked on a couple projects with Chevron, it is easy to spot the key members of the teams. Those who consistently delivered excellent results, stepped up when asked, and were the go-to people when experience was needed. Then you have the other... — read more
Can anyone confirm additional downsizing efforts in the spring?
I made it through this ROM but I don't think my group will make it through another reorganization. I work hard but doubt there will be anywhere for me to go if we do this again in a couple quarters.

Total Remuneration - Do we even need them anymore?
Why do we need these clowns to pay the 40th percentile? We are in a storm and need to throw everything overboard that is dead weight. They won't have anything to do for several years.
Fair Practice ? Ethical? Legal? S&T made employee's rank the nominations in order of preference.
S&T used Word documents for employees to fill and and added a Preference column. We were all told to rank the positions in order of our preference, but weren't told that hiring managers who saw the document would observe their position selected # 4... — read more
ITC Leadership a joke
Can someone explain how a male manager in the ITC network group can have an affair with a contractor working UNDER him and poor wife working and traveling for Chevron, can still be in a manager role. Shame Shame Shame, Bill and Lynn this shows what... — read more
ROM - The Reverse of Fairness
I am PSG-26 and I was in that ROM room for 3 days. Absolutely unbeliavble the amount of unfairness that went on. It really sucks to be white, old, outspoken, not liked or in the wrong place at the wrong time. It rules to be black, asian, indian, ass... — read more
Left standing, here.
I'm glad this whole process is over, but I can confirm that this was neither a performance-based cut, or a "best-fit" approach, but rather friends hiring friends. I'm sad to leave some awesome colleagues but I don't envy those who are staying.

Sorry to those "left standing"
Very good people let go at Chevron today. Some may have been let go for lack of performance, but many were just in the wrong place to find a seat when the music stopped. I have been there before, but lucky this time. I wish you guys all the... — read more
Anybody knows why HPD and spurious were walking the floors at hou1400
I was told that police was looking for someone who obviously didn't take the recent ROM 2 announcement too well. Please share some of the insights.

Comedian wanna be's
It is quite annoying seeing the one liners that are not funny. Why don't you go elsewhere to refine your skills
Has Anybody Heard They Have Been Left Standing Yet for ROM 2?
Just trying to confirm if it's a really bad thing to have not yet heard.
Rom3?
Does anyone know anything about ROM 3?
Watson
Listening to CEO Watson (aka SWAT) at GHP put a rosy spin on O&G demand while our neg cash flow condition and debt to equity ratio worsen seems a bit like Nero playing fiddle while Rome burns. Probably some getting pink slips in HOU 1400 & 1500 this... — read more
Best of luck to you all, those of us at ConocoPhillips are feeling your pain.
I hope to see all of my colleagues on the other side, regardless of who they work for. I see here a lot of the same that we are feeling.
Tomorrow - Chevron Layoffs (October 7, 2015)
Notifications to laid off Chevron workers will begin tomorrow morning and go on through possibly next Monday. I would expect a large and polished company-wide communication to be distributed to all employees sometimes today or very early tomorrow... — read more
Deeper cuts
Chevron stockholders (the owners of the company) are demanding lower operating costs and a leaner organization. Time to market is critical. Expect a very volitile 2 qtr with a possible 10% work force reduction. Expect a fast track ROM.
Chevron ROM Part 2
Is this happening right now? I was let go earlier this summer.
ROM2... Any idea what will happen this week?
Amazingly, I haven't heard much about what may happen this week as to how ROM2 notifications will go out. Anyone have a clue?

"Oh my.".. What has happened to Chevron... So sad...
Wake the f up. Chevron is not efficient and it never was. All this Chevron way is B.S. The show of hands culture is just a form of corporate welfare. The fat must go. No other company pays middle management as much as we do.
Oil rebounding
And so is Chevron. Happy days will be here again soon?

It is so so sad to see where the company is heading. Over the last few months, we have seen incredibly productive and experienced employees being let go, and at the same time, the company bringing in new inexperienced workers to replace them. In one... — read more
