100% agree. Seems that people are grasping for any little thing they can find to try and stick it to the company. I'm sure CHK is aware of WARN and will plan their cuts in a way that avoids any potential WARN issues.

It is a 90 day period because the layoffs are all related. WARN act would apply in this case, but they will not be giving notice. They will be giving 2+ months severance. This nullifies any chance the WARN act can be brought against Chesapeake.

But they can offer severance in lieu of notice. So, for example, if its sixty days notice, the company can just pay the employees for sixty days and send them packing.
