AAM is planning workforce reductions (involuntary) starting at the corporate HQ level, followed by the plant level along with plant consolidations. The reductions will begin next month. Departments and plants affected have not yet been announced.

I worked for AAM. I have been laid off today.

AAM in Fremont Indiana is closing. Moving jobs to Mexico.

I heard they are planning on closing the Three Rivers plant in MI too. I know they do a lot of axle assembly for GM there. I'm getting a little nervous, too many rumors flying around about what might be closing or who might be getting laid off... — read more

I really hope that these manufacturers see through this evil and its diabolical master plan. Of aam Douche and his bags of money that say Douche on the side. How do u tell when hes lying? When u see his lips move.

How likely is that there will be American Axle & Manufacturing Layoffs in 2019?

Today dozens of employees left stranded outside of AAM in Three Rivers as the company with no advance announcement decided to lay off its associates.

Please provide updates here for American Axle. Thank you for your layoff info.

Unknown how many total are laid off right now. A good guess is ~150. 4 weeks out turned to 5 then 6 now 7+ Some people will likely not be called back if it goes out further. Some have probably found other employment as many are actively looking.
