Health coverage for most laid off ends october 31. Nov.1 is open enrollment for health care coverage. Don't forget to look into this if you are unable to get health coverage through a new employer. Why? Tax penalties for being uninsured. They are set... — read more

Superfluous Write-ups

At my store, 4 supervisors were written up last week. Offenses ranged from the bizarre , to tardiness that had occurred weeks before.

Our ASTL is back!

At our store, the former PBS and former ASTL applied for the ASTL position. Our former ASTL got her position back. This makes me happy because she has been so helpful and kind to me. Now that I know that the PBS isn't really on the TM's side, I am... — read more

"We must, indeed, all hang together, or most assuredly we shall all hang separately." The time to ORGANIZE is now, not after the next culling.

This is a seismic shift in corporate culture. If you guys can't tell that by now... They are going to push people who get "too much" compensation out. They are going to out source everything they can. For example the maintenance people are going to... — read more

Regarding 401ks

I'm honestly not too informed about Fidelity's 401ks and I've noticed that it's gone down in value. I can only assume that's due to WFM stock's poor performance. My questions are: Is WFM's contribution dependent on my 401k being partially vested in... — read more

Peak Whole Foods

New store down here has buyers posted.

Grocery, frozen, dairy. Other regions have only perishable or nonperishable. Some places have perishable and nonperishable team leader, which looks like an intermediate between tl and astl. I wonder how long till we get with the program?

future of team educators?

What is the future of team educators? Our store is small and our team educators are full time and do most of the work. Are we immune to the restructuring?

If you're afraid to email, simply create a new email address with no personal affiliations whatsoever. While leadership obviously is on this site, I don't think any of you have to fear that you'll be hacked or traced in any way. Know that... — read more

Ibn Khaldun

“Empires age and decay in the course of three generations,” Ibn Khaldun warned. And while his theory referred to early-modern desert dynasties, it could easily apply to WFM.

Asked to be laid off?

Old timer here, ready to go. Actually jealous of those who got a severance. I guess this would just put a target on my back if denied, but it would be nice.

Lets talk about favoritism!

This is what ruined the company. Team leaders hire their buddies and then promote them. Any good employees get pushed aside or give more work. I've seen this again and again. Also incredibly racist. You can see the divide among the teams. I've seen... — read more
