I heard that we stopped paying vendors on 1/30? IS this true?

All day meetings, WTF? Something big is cooking at Weatherford - cannot say what but the cuts will be massive. They are very secretive as always.

Currently the company plan is one week's pay for each complete year of service up to 9 week's pay; minimum 2 weeks. Contribution to medical & dental COBRA for a month or two depending on how many week's severance. This can change, though.

Hey, anyone knows what is the severance package for 10+ years of service? and what should we ask for in case that happens?

I also heard about the RIF plans yesterday - not sure how things will develop but all of us should be working on our resumes.

There's not much chatter because no one really knows what's going to happen until it happens. For instance I heard IT would not be affected, which goes to show unless you're at the top, we're all just speculating.

I hear that Aberdeen, Scotland will be affected by the planned 7,000 job cuts. Does someone know how many people in Aberdeen will be affected? What groups?

More layoffs today. HR person layed off some at our facility. Nobody expected it. Horrible company to work for. I don't know how these people sleep at night the way they treat people.
