Since the start of the year it looks like about a 1000 people are gone.

What is happening over there? Anyone has more info? I hear that there might be layoffs at Broussard as well.

Just got laid off this morning. Severance package is two weeks pay and benefits until the end of march.

I am just curious to know if anybody knows the quantum of severance being offered this time around for EXEMPT positions. The last time this happened in 2009, it was 1 week salary X number of years of service at WFT subject to a cap of 9 weeks.

Are managers being let go too? Pretty dumb to just cut workers. Weatherford has toooo many layers, managers. You can't cut all the workers. Most managers don't know to to do the job for the dept they're over.

St James has been letting people go since 2 wks ago. Apparently they're going through each department/product line. How many total so far at St James? Anyone know?

Rumor at KW is Monday is D-day. I have seen some signs that I can't elaborate on that show this may be true.

I heard 50% reduction as well from a manager. It makes sense if the comparison between WFT and schlumberger are true.

Word around the office is that we will finally get conformation on layoffs by the end of this week or next. One thing is for sure you if you see a lot of security this week or next its a pretty good sign people are getting walked out.

With Weatherford freezing employees from selling their Weatherford stock until March there is major changes in the works.
