Exactly 992, thank you. @830, you can talk about subsets and supersets and personally attack me all day, but the fact remains that we are all still employed by CCI regardless if we identify with Heald, Everest, or Wyotech.

I can "interchangeably" say that I am an employee of CCi or Heald.

I have been reading through this thread and there are some real asses on this board. It seems like no one is nice to each other.

570: Apparently YOU don't work for CCI, or you would know that "CCi" and "Heald" are not interchangeable terms. I'm in Florida and nowhere near any Heald, but I assure you that I have a lot of connections and Heald is a four letter word in our industry.

570: I'm not sure what that's supposed to mean/imply. I don't know anyone from Heald and have never vistied a campus, but I HAVE been in the industry for 20 years and have good friends at CEC, DeVry, Apollo, EDMD, etc, etc. I've been calling around to find out if any of them have seen corporate activity that might indicate an interest in buying any CCi schools. The response is usually laughter when I ask about Heald. I don't know if your reputation is deserved, but it is most undoubtedly how you're seen within the career college community. Sorry, Heald is the red-headed stepchild of CCi. WyoTech and Everest have some potential, but Heald has always been a big pain in the tush and nobody but a fool would purchase it. CCi got lucky with ECMC being so naive. Any other potential buyers are likely to have industry experience and know that Heald instructors and staff have a reputation for being lazy, entitled, slow-witted rejects. Not that all of you are, but that IS your reputation and I'm sure there's some truth to it.

Hey OP - here is an empirically proven fact for you: Heald is a piece of junk and a colossal liability, why would anyone want to buy it? Here is another fact for you: you are a piece of junk as well, and there is no rant that you might be able to construct here that will change that. Look at the mirror, what can you see, a piece of worthless junk.

Heald expected to close shortly after the ECMC purchase of Everest Plus.

CCI is still a SEC regulated public info. Factual info will be released in accordance with those guidelines. Everything else is personal opinion which, apparently, is of no interest to you.

They were still in discussions with three different buyers, and even with drastically reduced enrollments the chain is still turning a profit. Honestly, with the amount of money Heald makes (90 million NET profit last year) I expect a buyout even without the release of liability.

Or we could go into teach out or even instant bankruptcy next month. Who knows??

My personal opinion is that purchasing Heald was a waste of $400M.

In my opinion heald was destroyed by CCI and probably deserves its fate. And you expect to get some new, useful knowledge here?
