What makes one eligible to get loan forgiveness? Do you need to be an existing student? Or, do you have to have a certain level of debt. I went to Everest and I have around 30K in loans, would it help if I was to write a letter to the finance department and ask for forgiveness? Please let me know - they are trying to collect but I have no income right now.

That is correct.. just tell them you are an illegal alien and you will vote democrat for life after you get amnesty and they will pay off your loan with taxpayer money
Don't worry, Desperate Student! There are 13 US Senators (and more to follow) who want to make CCi loans for past and current students simply go away. As in "poof"! Since the loans are evidence of fraudulent activity, I think we will be successful. You can call Rolling Jubilee as well. They will register you as a democrat and you might get some assistance.
The only way to get forgiveness is if you are a current student and your college closes. There's a very small window if people who are ever eligible. Contact the student loan government for more details.
Hey, I bought a new car 3 months ago and now the bank is telling me I am behind on payments. The salesman never told me I had to pay for the car even though I signed some kind of paperwork. Yeah contact your local station and tell them you signed a contract you did not understand, Missed 50% of the classes and rarely did your work. While you are at it might as well go for your mortgage and car payment.

Write to your State Senator after contacting the lender and requesting deferment 1st then forbearance if that's the only available option.
Write or call your lending company and tell them that you have no income and request forbarence. This has nothing to do with Corinthian it has to do with who is servicing your student loans.
You might save some time by opting not to write a letter - it'll go straight to the shredder.
