You might think the bonuses for regular employees are based on your productivity and the annual revue. This is probably not the case. The budget is made ahead of time. They already know about what they will give out in the pool. If it is a low number, they will find a way in your annual review to justify a lower bonus or raise. You will never know what your peers receive and I can tell you favorites do play into the numbers. The large revenue of profits is saved for some people and this does not include the majority. Read the annual reports and you will soon realize the share of the pie is not spread across the company. While you might receive a minimal raise and bonus, someone is getting a jump probably between 20 to 30 percent in compensation and stock options.

I am not uncomfortable about bonuses, they are small and not worth the effort. I would prefer NO bonus and just appreciated.

Good thread, very little discussion about bonuses though. Are you guys uncomfortable discussing this topic?

Microsoft and HP was always on the hook to contribute to the Food for the Gong Show, and also to pay for the red polo shirt we got in 2006 for best IT company to work for. Tim was very friendly to HP

Anyone still in IT notice no holiday lunch no gong show. Not that we are missing much

Agreed. A multi-billion dollar organization can't swing for all the food and drinks. Revenue per employee is 479,000 and they can't staff us right or buy food and drinks. I'm certain they ask the vendors for all the gifts at the Xmas party as well.

I have never heard of a company that has parking on their own property to charge employees for "covered" parking. That is insulting, and to charge $5 for attending the Gong Show and ask their vendors to pay for the lunch from Sonny's BBQ and ask employees to bring in good is just another example of how they treat their employees.

you are not required to pay for a parking space. You can pay $40 a month for premium spots. Other than that, RJ is a shitty company. Once PR and SC took over, it was all over.

I now work for an unionized company, and still believe RJ sucked. I am much better compensated and not spending 60 hours a week constantly anymore. And, if I were paid properly, I wouldn't mind paying for parking in general.

Work in the city of Tampa or St. Pete you have to pay for parking and walk 3-4 blocks to get to your job then be harrassed by vagrants, walk in the rain, dodge cars running red lights for $90 a month! That's ridiculous but to have the option of free parking or paying for a reserved spot for $40 a month is a luxury! I wish you would have to experience the otherside and you'd quit bitching! Go work for a unionized company and you would have a reason to bitch and complain!

It is. For covered parking in RJ, you pay. Really weird to charge for that. Name another company that does that. Usually, if people have to feed meters (pay for parking) the company supplements the costs (see Pinellas County Gov).

Paying for covered parking is an option you choose to pay for to have a reserved spot! There plenty of free parking to take advantage of in the lot for T1 & T2. Get your story straight.

The $200 Bonus will help me pay RJ for the monthly covered parking, what a joke to make employees pay for parking. Maybe RJ can invest some money to upgrade the bathrooms in T-1, they are outdated.

She is cashing out on some previously owned shares. She was awarded 12500 shares. Do a search on Raymond James from the site and you will see all the insider trading and all the recent awards of that amount to the execs.

I was listed as a valued contributor and was told that I couldn't be a high achiever. I was told that if I was a HC my manager needed to fight for it and explain what I do outside my normal job duties. Whatever, this place has turned into a joke. Look at the 5th floor big wigs... If you watch them drive in to work it looks like an exotic car show. They are getting 7-10% more then last year and our pool was 2%- that does not even cover inflation/cost of living.

I thought we hired a new Compensation Manager?? guess he is complaining

It amounts to about 79 cents a day or 9.5 cents more an hour over the course of a year(not including weekends, holidays, or vacation).
