Socle is a mess without her! You can ask any employee there - she was the only one worth anything and the only one who "did the right thing." You'll need to get rid of the bullies at the top (KD, DS, etc). She'll never come back with them still there, and Socle will never be right with her gone!

LOL! It would be awesome for ECMC to hire SLS and then she could fire the idiots here. How perfect would that be? She really was the glue that held us together, it got so much worse without her.
I started applying for a new job late, but the impetus was SLS leaving and trying to imagine the asinine managers left trying to get shit done. I swear all they ever do is get in people's way. I'm out end of today. Have a great holiday and if you see SLS out anywhere, let her know the place fell apart without its one functioning manager. God I pity ECMC walking into that hornet's nest!
Yes please! SLS was awesome and so dedicated. The boys club has no idea how much she did. She actually cared about the department and was the only one that knew sh*t. You ever ask LC a HR or FMLA question? Don't bother he is so worthless. Anyone know where she went? It would be great to have her back.
I swear, I'll give ECMC a couple of months to gather information and fire those SOBs, but if they don't I will screw them royally. I am not going to go through working for another company with no ethical standards and no HR department. Two months, ECMC, and then I go to ED and the state AGs to show that you're up to the same old tricks as CCi. The documentation gathering continues...
Socle was going to save CCi. All the management got cocky. Now with ECMC buying CCi there is no need for Socle management. The agents can be re-trained. I guess Socle management is going to get what's coming to them.
474 is correct. I was disciplined while at CCi for being "too picky" about verification ("too picky" basically meant doing anything besides rubber stamping it). I'm now at a major state university in Florida and they are totally amazed at how Socle processed aid. I feel bad for y'all still there, but I really hope that ECMC does the right thing and ends Socle.
Ha ha ha, JH was the best! I didn't hear the whole conversation, but when she was a manager she was leaving DS's office one day. She paused in the doorway, turned her head toward him, pointed to her butt, and said "Manage that, Asshole!" Yeah, she was a great broad! She didn't let him kick her around!
Socle is best left to die out. A non-profit should have financial aid admisnistrators on site who can award, adjust awards, explain awards, etc, etc for students. They do not need an abusive sweatshop where awards are pushed through whether the student qualifies or not, and regulations are treated as inconveniences that exist to get around. Socle is a legal ticking time bomb.
I wouldn't be surprised if some ECMC execs did read this. If you're going to take over a company, you want to know as much about it as possible. Normally layoff.com wouldn't be something that would come to mind. I'll bet they've been following the investment message boards, though, and this site is mentioned a LOT. Once you're here, it's hard to stop coming, whether you take anything here seriously or not. It's entertaining in a "we're totally screwed" kind of way.

I second that! ECMC, if you're planning on keeping Socle going, you need to lure back some of the old team! We used to get shit done and have fun doing it - even with Dave's crazy temper tantrums! For those of you here from the start - who else would you like back of the many, many fine folks that were driven out? Remember JH? Great lady!
