CCI was always a piece of shit company that sold garbage "education" while breaking every rule and law imaginable. they got what they deserved.
The media helped make it happen. Diplomas certainly lost a lot of value this summer with the media bashing away. CCi made no visible attempt to defend its employees in the public eye and cost itself millions in the process.
089 has a point. Cigarettes kill people and if the fed wanted them banned they could be. But a ton of tax revenue is generated from selling a product that leaves people worse than they were before the bought them. I have a hard time thinking a Cci degree is any different. It doesn't make your body sick but it probably will have a negative impact on your career outlook. Back in June the fed could have said no more title 4 ever and the company would have dried up and blown away. But they didn't. They looked at the potential revenue coming in vs. the cost of loan forgiveness and kept the most profitable alternative.
