My apologies but my source didn't even know. But I was spot on for the rest going back to August if you care to check. As for Socle it is part of the deal even though it is not mentioned. ECMC is trying to figure where to place it in their structure. Heald and Canadian schools are under CCI until they are sold early next year. Both have buyers and are close to sale as I have mentioned before. Once they are sold CCI may declare BK or exist to fight the lawsuits.

Bye Felicia
What about 12 teach out schools? Are they just cleaning up the debt?
Thanks for the follow up, BH. I am an online instructor so I figured that we'd be the last out in the event they did clean house, buying us a few more terms. I'm not sure that they it will be at the same pay rate. Non-profits notoriously pay less but it sure beats unemployment. And I really do love my job, just not all the BS that goes with it. I feel bad for CSC administration. They are probably redundant, as you mention. ECMC has their own infrastructure. Well, we'll see as this ride continues!
I am 100% IT support so I don't interact or have any knowledge about the schools. I do know that they, ECMC, has no one experienced to run schools or support the back end IT processes. The only IT tool we share is Loan Tracker and that is because ECMC is the creator of the software. They understand that it is expensive to retain skilled people and in the long run it costs more money to bring in outsides and train them up than keep the existing employees. I would be more worried if I was in a skill like accounting or marketing, etc that overlaps what ECMC already has. How many Online instructors does ECMC currently have? :)
Heald isn't getting sold.
Thank you, once again, Board Hijacker. Most of us appreciate the information during this informationless time. Some are just inflammatory. So we've read Dave Hawn's letter to us. It sounds like some employees will receive a letter offer of employment from ECMC around year end or in the new year. Do you know anything about how they will arrive at the offers? Just because we receive an offer, it doesn't mean that it will be for our current position or current pay and benefits. Thx in advance.
