The worst thing that any owner can do to its employees and customers (students) is drag out providing an answer on the future. Nothing can break a person more quickly than failure to communicate. Imagine a spouse who says that he or she is not sure whether they love you, so please wait 6 months while he or she thinks about it and then, maybe they'll give you an answer...and absolutely no hints one way or the other until then...no affection, no sex, no nothing as you walk past each other every day...agonizing
