They tried to make it sound like it was a good thing. All it really means is that they just cut off a large percentage of the employees from ever getting profit sharing and gave themselves an excuse not to pay out anything to the rest.
announcement came out today...
Hope we get a Christmas gift this year.
No shit. This is only a job now, not a career. Collecting a check for a fair days work. No engagement or emotional connection.
The life cycle of Follett bullshit. Its bullshit when its busy. Its bullshit when its slow. The place is bad for the soul.
There is a notice going out for RMs to discuss this with their store operations within the week; as it was CC'd, not much more to go on.

when did they announce this? i was too busy looking at the strategic competencies...

FOLLETT GETS AN 'F' FOR WORKPLACE ENVIRONMENT! ONLY KMART FLUNKIES LEFT!
well, officially profit sharing will be tied to the 'gate' but since the gate is totally unrealistic you will never see any profit sharing. Oh, and it is now limited to people who aren't eligible for the bonus that also won't be paid because of the gate.
Has this been made official?
It always starts this way.
It’s sad, really, how a negative workplace can impact our lives and the way we feel about ourselves. The situation is reaching pandemic heights – most people go to work at jobs they dislike, supervised by people who don’t care about them, and directed by senior leaders who are often clueless about where to take the company-sound familiar?
And less PTO carryover
