Thread regarding Corinthian Colleges Inc. layoffs

It's been a nice ride and I been paid!

But like all good things must end! Thanks CCI for the last 5 years! No regrets just lots of fun times and fat pay checks!

All these claims of criminal investigation--who are you, a scorned former employee trying to scare us?

You're definitely not correct.

Most criminals aren't worried. You should probably keep your bail bondsman's phone number handy just in case I'm right and you are wrong.

Just because you are not yet aware of specific criminal investigations does not mean there are none. Those of you who actively swindled students, investors and others had better start watching over your shoulders. Your past misdeeds are coming back to haunt you in a big way very soon.

Everwhere we hear CRIMINAL but there is absolutely no criminal action pending. It is very likely it will stay that way.

Sen. Durban has talked about for-profit schools committing criminal acts. They all shout criminal but only pursue $.

Oh, yes. In your lifetime. All the time. It's a common prosecutorial tactic.

It's done all the time. Indict them all and the first one to offer to testify against the others gets immunity.

To claim an admission rep is a liar, you must prove intent. Falsehoods are much easier to prove.

Has there been any criminal cases filed against anyone at CCi?

Lying to students and intentionally defrauding them and the federal government is part of a criminal enterprise. Just wait and see.

Enrolling students is so criminal!

The difference between GM and CCi is intent. GM was negligent. CCi is predatory and intentionally fraudulent.

Right. Only "criminal enterprises" have legal problems, like General Motors.

Ask Judge Saul Wachler that question.

Yeppers, you're a legit business. That's why Congress and the Department of Ed and seventeen state attorneys general are coming after the company with both barrels loaded. That doesn't include what HLC and WASC and ACICS are considering. These actions are normal for any legitimate business. Sure. Right. Glad you're convinced of that.

Do you really believe a Grand Jury will indict an Admission Rep like a Gambino?

The Gambino family uses that same line. "We run a legitimate business." Yeah, right.

laughable. CCi is a legitimate business, not a criminal enterprise.

It's pending. You'll find out about that in due course. Grand jury testimony is secret, but once the indictments are issued, the admission reps involved will find out very quickly. Evidence will also be presented to the grand jury on their supervisors, too.

Laugh now, but when the Florida attorney general comes after you for participating in the criminal conspiracy to commit fraud, you won't have the chance to laugh.
